Community Partners
Cook Children's Center for Community Health (C4CH) is proud to lead 11 different collaborations focusing on one or more of our priority focus areas. We strive to create strategic, meaningful partnerships with other community organizations, identify common goals and objectives, and create consistent evidenced-informed education and messaging to improve the health of families in our North Texas region. These efforts help fulfill Cook Children's Promise: Knowing every child's life is sacred, we promise to improve the well-being of every child in our care and our communities.
Community programs and coalitions
There are two types of C4CH-led community collaborations---collaboratives and coalition/action teams. Collaboratives bring partners together across the eight-county service area to support selected health messages and increase capacity & awareness across the region. Our coalitions and action teams develop/support strategic plans to implement selected strategies to educate providers, provide direct services to families, share key messages, and distribute awareness materials and prevention tools within a particular community. These collaborations and coalitions include:
- ACEs/Wellness Collaborative
- Injury Prevention Collaborative
- Oral Health Collaborative
- Children's Oral Health Coalition
- Healthy Children Coalition for Parker County
- Hood County for Healthy Children (HC4HC)
- Johnson County Alliance for Healthy Kids (JCAHK)
- Safe Baby Sleep Council
- Wellness Alliance for Total Children’s Health (WATCH) of Denton County
- Wise Coalition for Healthy Children
